MY EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY STATEMENT
I believe that each child is unique and learns differently. I believe that each child can construct
his/her own knowledge provided she/he gets conducive learning environments. I believe that a
learner-centered approach is the best approach to arise children’s curiosity, and innovation.


BRIEF INTRODUCTION
Dr Michael Bedson Msendekwa is an Acting Deputy Rector-Academic, Research and
Consultancy and Senior Lecturer at the Local Government Training Institute. He has a wide
and broad experience in working and holding senior positions in higher learning institutions.
He has been a Head of Department, Associate Dean, Director of Research, Consultancy and
Postgraduate Studies, Coordinator of Academic Partnership, Head of Research, Consultancy
and Short Courses and now Ag. Deputy Rector-Academic, Research and Consultancy. He has
attended different short courses including modern higher educational management and
leadership under DAAD sponsorship in German and Knowledge Co-Creation Program in
Participatory Local Social Development in Japan sponsored by JICA. Dr Msendekwa is an
expert in Curriculum and Instruction with an experience of over 15 years in his field. He has
been a team leader in several consultancies and able to design and implement big projects and
ensure project deliverables are completed timely and in a high quality.
